The Alchemy of Polynium

This project explores Polynium, a translucent composite made from polystyrene & aluminium. Developed through material prototyping, Polynium enables modulation of light, opacity & spatial rhythm via variations in weave density & aperture size. In the context of a luxury cosmetic retail store, it defines transitions from public to private zones using dissolving partitions & responsive surfaces. The composite forms polyfunctional elements & adaptive enclosures that soften circulation paths & create intrigue. This composite becomes both a material & a spatial tool, shaping an immersive interior that evolves with light, movement & the rituals of beauty.
