This project centers on experimental plots across diverse sites—fallow lands, forest edges, riversides, and orchards—to explore innovative methods for increasing the yield of traditional paddy varieties through approaches like System of Rice Intensification (SRI) and Drum Seeded Rice (DSR). By comparing these techniques with hybrid cultivation, the study assesses their impact on soil regeneration, biodiversity conservation, and water efficiency. The experimental plots act as living laboratories to evaluate sustainable practices and identify balanced solutions for improving productivity while preserving ecological health. Community engagement is integral, encouraging local farmers to participate in the experiments, attend educational sessions, and observe the benefits of eco-friendly practices. By revitalizing traditional cultivation methods, the project bridges cultural heritage with environmental stewardship, fostering a shift toward sustainable farming that respects both the land and local traditions. Through these collaborative efforts, Goima Village aims to secure its agricultural future while honoring its roots.
