Shoreline Guardians

The project focuses on shoreline protection by restoring the dynamic sandbar in Kadaiya, Daman, and using sustainable embankment strategies in a transitional natural zone, where urban development meets nature and water dynamics have affected the coastline. Key interventions include diverse plantation methods, saline wetlands, and natural embankment barriers to combat erosion and stabilize the coastline. The site also integrates participatory opportunities for tourists, fostering community engagement and environmental awareness. By enhancing coastal resilience and biodiversity, the project delivers long-term benefits to both local communities and visitors.
