Japura River - A Place to Debate and Discuss

The Japura River is a collection of four studio spaces made for the purpose of “Debate and Discussion”. “Discussion” refers to the closed condition of the kinetic. Here, the orientation divides the space into four closed and private studio spaces for optimum focus. As the kinetic starts to open up, a courtyard is formed and the space starts to transform into the “Debate”. “Debate” refers to the community events and meetings made possible due to the presence of the singular, common courtyard. Together, the kinetic facilitates a change in the utility of space in all its different positions.
