*The project is a manifestation inspired by the mesmerizing composition "Hans Dhuni" by Ustad Raees Khan from Coke Studio Season 7. Drawing inspiration from the intricate melodies and sensations evoked by the music, the design aims to translate the essence of the instruments into spatial experiences tailored for a ceramic office. The architectural concept takes the form of a cone structure, gradually tapering and culminating in a fixed glass apex, symbolizing the harmonious crescendo of the song. Constructed with robust concrete to withstand the weight of the instruments resonating in "Hans Dhuni," the structure sits atop an underground plinth, accessible via stone steps, inviting users into a realm where music and design converge. Central to the design is the integration of kinetic elements, particularly in illuminating the space. The thematic motif, "Dhoop Chao," epitomizing the interplay of light and shadow, manifests through ingenious mechanisms. Operated by a simple string mechanism, intricately designed flaps open and close, orchestrating the ingress and egress of light. When the string is tautened, the flaps elegantly unfurl, allowing a subdued ambiance within the cone structure. Conversely, as the motor is activated in an anti-clockwise motion, the string loosens, prompting the flaps to gracefully close, suffusing the interior with luminosity. This dynamic interplay not only imbues the space with a captivating ambiance but also serves as a testament to the seamless fusion of music-inspired design and functionality.*
