An architect’s studio located amidst the cashew plantations in Auroville. An anchor that grounds to reality a mind which drifts to imagination, this studio is analogous to the architect's mind. On site, a force creates a rift through anchored spaces into the expanse of the plantation. Details are not only a response but a celebration of the elements of nature, the rain, wind and sun as how they breathe life into the built rather than something to seek protection from.  A roof that flies, a plinth that floats and earth that holds, harbouring everything in between these contrasting materials.
