Archeological Research Lab - Mandu, Madhya Pradesh

The initial stage of case studies and explorations through models led to the basic understanding of structures and load transfer through multiple methods. This further culminated as the main project, an archeological research lab and exhibition which was designed through the process of supported and supporting spaces where the structure in  itself helped define the various kinds of spaces one could experience through the design. Built in stone, the concept followed the expression of the space revealing itself in parts rather than completely all at once, thus ideas involving submerging the structure and creating levelled terraces were brought into play.
