Curating a space that caters to holistic learning among youngsters, the ‘Cleo Space’ draws one in with its initial lightness of a parabolic roof, deeper and deeper along each frame, into one that provides a contrasting shade and comfort with its massive stone walls. Viewing the sunken building from afar, one immediately senses a feeling of being grounded which the humble human scale of the roof has enhanced. Inside, the magic of learning continues, characterized by niches that allow for small moments of wonder through different openings. The floating roof and the grounded walls give rise to this ‘Thanal’ - a place for true solace.
