The Articulated Tilt: In Dialogue with the Planetarium

“Articulated Tilt,” a book studio situated amidst Kamati Baug in Vadodara, along the planetarium, is a design that aims to create a dynamic space while responding to the strong architectural language of its context. The pavilion unfolds as a series of folded planes rising from the ground, reflecting and responding to the planetarium’s slanted geometry. Its dynamic roof gradually increases in angle to align with the iconic tilt, while the substructure piercing through reinforces the built language and visual continuity with its context. The pavilion functions as a book studio as well as interactive space, fostering community engagement within the garden.
