LANTANA PLUMAGE : A KEEPER'S LABYRINTH

The project revolves around providing a dwelling for a community of bird keepers who are the residents of the fictional city of Maatko, previously known as 'Jaipur'. The architectural idea revolves around exploiting the site to its maximum potential while giving the bird keepers every opportunity to interact with the birds in the great outdoors. The form allows the user to be in constant contact with nature and also acts like a fly through for the birds. The material used is an experimentation with the parasite known as Lantana Camara, a material previously used for sculptures.
