INNOVISION

Adaptive Reuse of Maxwell Fry's Press Building into an Innovation Hub through Temporal Layering: The Innovation Hub is envisioned to embody the essence of the Open Hand—a hand to give and a hand to receive—symbolizing collaboration, knowledge exchange, and the enduring cycle of innovation for years to come. This transformation explores how the introduction of new functions reshapes the building’s identity and meaning within the context of Chandigarh, positioning it as an active participant in the city’s evolving narrative. The intervention draws inspiration from Lefebvre’s concept of social space, emphasizing the dynamic relationship between spatial design, human interaction, and perception.
