Bridge of Belongings

The Bridge of Belongings isn’t just a structure—it’s a story. A story of survival, exploitation, and resilience, set in a world where the line between progress and desperation is razor-thin. Stretching across a river, this elegant bridge connects two cities with starkly different lives: Dhara, a relentless industrial giant, and Seema, a quiet agrarian sanctuary. Beneath its towering arches lies a powerful mechanical system, tirelessly lifting water from the river to quench the unyielding thirst of both cities. However, under the bridge, a different story unfolds—a vast settlement of refugees has taken root, eking out an existence in the shadows. This encroachment has evolved into a precarious symbiosis, as the refugees begin to extract water and other resources from the bridge itself, intertwining their survival with the structure’s operations.
