The project involved translocating David Chipperfield's entry for a  design competition for an Art Gallery in Schwäbisch Hall, Germany to a site in Ahmedabad, in the plain field besides the Atal bridge on the riverfront on the side of the old city. Studying his other works provided ideas as to how the structural system of the building works. A play on the Plaza area of the original building was applied to have the building fit into the context of the site while other changes were made to tackle the climate and modify the architectural expression of the building.
