The work done for the Spring 2021 Studio entailed studying the relationship between methods of constructions and modes of representation as ways to study buildings ans the histories of the built environment. The context of the study was Jamshedpur. A reading exercise encompassing theoretical paradigms was our getaway into the study, followed by ways to decode buildings through their details; where I explored intentionality influencing choices pf construction. The final project explored social, conceptual and systemic influences leading to the development of Jamshedpur's built environment in early 20th Century based on Aparajith Ramnath's study of TISCO and Jamshedpur's social history.
