The proposal for the extension of Darpana Academy of Performing Arts begin by studying how the Institution has grown over time particularly through it's spatial configuration. The existing voids in Kavindey's Layout serve as point of Interaction and transition. The design Identifies these spatial gaps and introduces a new central void, strategically placed to become the merging point between the existing and the proposed campus. This in between space is conceived as zone of continuity - Linking past and present, while offering moments of pause, performance and gathering.
