The architect's residence that grew into an institution inviting various students and visitors is designed next to the Reva ruin in Mandu. This site offers a rich historical context and sensitive approach toward the treatment of the ruin.  The various layers of privacy and functions were achieved by creating an axis of movement keeping in mind the large Southern Magnolia and the landscape features of the site. The materials incorporated in the design are rammed earth and steel.
