Man-Tarang: A rhythmic tranquility

Located in Kumbakonam, Man-Tarang is a meditation and a yoga retreat centre present in a dense forested site. An idea of varying levels, isolated spaces in the plan facilitates  a unique, customised experience. The form, taken using the system of active bending and contouring,  feeds on to the intuitive learning by model making strategies done in the earlier part of the explorations. The space has a sense of rhythm in it, something essential for meditation and other activities. In this case, this is done by  using natural forces, in this case, an overwhelming presence of water bodies throughout the space.
