Unreinforced Structures

This project investigates the principles of dry assembly and explores form-finding through this construction technique. By studying how individual elements come together without the use of mortar, it examines the forces that enable stability purely through gravity, friction, and geometric interlocking. Various form typologies were analysed based on criteria such as structural performance, daylight potential, and shadow behaviour. The ultimate goal is to develop and fabricate a large-scale prototype that demonstrates the potential of dry assembly as both a structural and spatial strategy.
