The Inviting Void: A Museum in Absence

Inspired by the verticality of the Kailash Temple and its dramatic void between the temple and cliff, the design recreates this monumental essence through a massive monolithic structure. It features an underground museum with exhibition galleries, sculpture displays, gathering spaces, and a library, alongside an upper-ground plaza with seating niches, an amphitheater, and a sacred Shivling space. Designed for all ages, it blends ramps, steps, and undulating grounds, creating diverse volumes and experiences. The design honors the Kailash Temple’s spatial grandeur, connecting history with modern functionality.
