The proposal for a pilgrimage/tourist center in Dwarka is very significant as it is one of the most attractive Tourism, Cultural, and Heritage sites of Gujarat. The design needs to synchronize both the Heritage and the urban requirements so as the aim of this project is to develop the destination without affecting the ecology of nature. The design not only should attempt to develop the facilities to support the development but it should be interactive with the local and natural elements as Dwarka-Bet-Dwarka has great cultural and heritage value of pilgrimage. The Pilgrimage/tourist Center seeks to reconcile a complex program under the same roof. The building must be both a defined endpoint for the pilgrims and tourists and a gathering place for the locals. The layout of spaces allows for flexible use of the building that accommodates a variety of uses and functions.
