DIVULGING UNIQUE LANDSCAPE

The urban references are the norms and reference to rural is almost as an antonym to urban. The scarce rural references that are made are about an idealized scenic aesthetics ignoring realities of rural like industrial agriculture and associated practices bringing in spatial and ecological transformations. Such a situation is almost a missed opportunity for landscape architects to introduce sustainable practices and processes to rural areas though they are rapidly developing and changing although situated beyond urban areas. This studio is to initiate a discourse of rural landscapes that have the potential of going beyond patterns of destructive urbanization.
