A Mosaic of Coexistence

The project is envisioned for the healing and reconnection of fragmented ecologies along the edges of Udaipur’s Goverdhan Sagar Lake. Years of neglect, rigid infrastructure, and urban pressures have fractured ties between people, the lake, and its biodiversity. The design seeks to restore these connections—reclaiming the edges as ecological corridors, revitalizing degraded scrublands, and weaving avifaunal habitats into the urban fabric. It creates spaces of habitat and refuge for birds, and moments of engagement for people. Ultimately, it signals a shift—from separation to synergy—where human presence nurtures rather than displaces, and nature and city evolve together in quiet, enduring harmony.
