Socio-ecological weave: Binding ecology and community

A Landscape of Shifting Textures and patterns-This project interweaves the sparse openness of a native scrubland with the dense, shaded canopy of an urban park, creating a socio-ecological trail that immerses users in a full-spectrum vegetative journey—from exposed scrubland to thick undergrowth, and finally, to a tranquil deck at the lake’s edge. The experience is choreographed to reveal ecological contrast while using only native plant palettes, fostering biodiversity, sensory engagement, and continuity between two contrasting landscape typologies.
