The Bamboo Cross Station is developed from some of the concepts taken from the three case studies. The concept of a minimal connection with the ground and the idea of creating a surface-active structure and curved form using straight components are the two main concepts taken from the case studies. The structure can be boiled down to one geometry that is “X”. The column is a Quadra pod made of two crosses and the bracing to the beam is provided by progressively shifted bamboo crosses. The structure’s major stability comes from its geometry and connection between two modules.
