 Steed is a stool and desk duo meant for educational spaces. The design aims to create a new typology of classroom furniture without going too far beyond the conventional. This was done keeping in mind the need to serve a large audience.
The new typology emerges majorly through its posture of sitting, a saddle seat posture; which opens up possibilities of incorporating storage in newer ways. Storage is largely common and shared in classrooms, so here an attempt has been made to both optimise the storage needs of students and address the students' need for peronalisation.
