As Ahmedabad walled city is declared as UNESCO heritage site, City Heritage Centre (CHC) has decided to extend the heritage walk, from Swaminarayan temple - Jami mosque to Ahmedabad ni Library, a library under Manekchowk Fruit market. This Library is a single level volumed underground space. The library mainly focuses on tourists, history enthusiasts, students of various fields and people on heritage walk. The spaces created through intersection of long vaulted spaces of different volume  encourage people to know more about the city through books, videos, old photographs. The library spaces are  more informal to accommodate recreational facilities.
