BD2024

From Sketch to Scale

This semester fulfilled my aspirations in terms of designing for manufacturing.  We explored the principles of mass manufacturing, focusing on transforming product designs into scalable solutions. Through the studio, I developed technical drawings, bills of materials (BOM), and bills of quantities (BOQ), ensuring precise documentation for manufacturing. Key learnings included understanding material selection, optimizing designs for cost-efficiency, and aligning product features with manufacturing capabilities. The project emphasized the integration of design and production processes, fostering a holistic approach to system design.
