Kapisah

Kapisah is a sanskrit translation of the color brown, which here represents the organic and earthy nature of the sling bag designed. The bag is made out of kombucha leather, which is a bio-material made from cellulose nanofibrils spun by bacteria and yeast and is completely compostable. This project focuses on the design process starting from drafting technical drawings, understanding the sling bag and its construction, followed by a thorough user study, concept development to the material research and prototyping. For a more detailed research on kombucha leather or this project: Click Here.
