Maleye Case - Eyeglass Case

Coconut Malai Leather is a completely organic and sustainable bacterial cellulose grown on agricultural waste from the coconut industry in Southern India. This project includes redesigning a sunglass case for 40-60 years age group. The entire product is made using only the material itself, avoiding hardware or metal. This included designing the handling and locking mechanism purely from the material. The product has one glass pocket, one cash pocket, two card pockets and three medicine/miscellaneous pockets. This phase was very crucial to realize the importance of small details in a product’s usability.
