Seta: Bound by Nature

Seta is a design project that explores the potential of mycelium as a sustainable material. The stool’s top seat is grown from reishi mycelium, showcasing its natural strength and texture. The project begins with the exploration of mycelium cultivation, experimenting with substrates and growth techniques to shape the material. The design process includes technical drawings, prototyping, and user research to ensure the stool meets practical needs. The project highlights the intersection of nature, creativity, and sustainable design, with mycelium as a key player in reimagining how we approach materiality and function in everyday objects.
