Crafting Narratives

This project explores the intersection of traditional Indian crafts and contemporary design through interdisciplinary and cross-cultural collaboration. This project fostered engagement with different craft clusters in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh and aided in gaining contextual knowledge to understand craft practices from a broader perspective. Through workshops, interactive sessions, and field research, we learn to create visual stories, narrative maps, communication collaterals, and installations, harnessing local craftsmanship and cultural insights. The focus of the project is on empowering local craft communities, preserving intangible knowledge, and presenting it in today’s digital age.
