The Art of the Handmade: Exploring Craft Identity

Craft, inherently meaning "made by hand," has been the core of my semester-long exploration. I've embraced this philosophy by handcrafting every project, from the graphic novel saga inspired by my 10-day trip to Himachal Pradesh to the experiential map, information cards, and the storybook inspired by the potter's village of Gundyali in Kuchchh. Additionally, I've created collages documenting our visits to various craft sites across Gujarat.
