"Achanak Yunhi" is a short film that explores a child’s quiet yet profound perspective on fear, memory, and imagination. Inspired by my younger sister, the story follows Anu as she processes a strange night time encounter by re-enacting it through her toys. The film delicately balances warmth and suspense, reflecting how children make sense of the unknown. Through a soft blue-yellow-white palette, it contrasts Anu’s inner world with the external reality, emphasizing her emotional disconnect. The film aims to portray childhood resilience and how play becomes a powerful means of expression, blurring the line between truth and storytelling.
