Aangan- A Pause between Journey, a hotel nestled in the serene valley of Gangtok, Sikkim. Drawing inspiration from the vibrant prayer flags, fluttering across Gangtok’s mountainous landscape. Hotel design embodies movement, layering, and spiritual tranquility. The architecture responds to the natural wind patterns, creating a dynamic yet serene environment. The spatial organization is anchored around a series of interconnected courtyards, which serve as transitional zones, seamlessly blending indoor and outdoor spaces. These courtyards channel the wind, enhancing ventilation while offering moments of pause and reflection, creating a meditative atmosphere, where architecture and nature harmonize, offering guests an immersive journey.
