The Ravangala Retreat

A hotel apart from being a place to lodge is a matter of experience. Visitors or guests who come to a hotel desire an experience to mark the stay as  a memorable one. With similar idea, a countryside hotel is designed in the city of Ravangala. The hotel is designed with the concept of re-imagining Newari Interiors in a modern context. In the process of deriving the concept, parallels are drawn between the immediate (Ravangala) and the cultural (Newari Architecture and  design) context. Due to the similarities and amalgamation of two contexts, the hotel serves as an experience of re-interpreted traditional Newari interiors amidst nature.
