Breathing Nest

The Portfolio includes  hand drawn and digital visualization which is inspired by the book "Decoding Poetics of Space" by Gaston Bachelard .  It has the idea of day dreaming relating to our personal experience in our childhood house, corners, chests and drawers of the house, or as a miniature. Expressing the underwater world with respect to light intensity, movement of waves and reduction in noise, i have created my personal space. It has an idea of underwater  dream house relating to high sea topography.

“One can only relate what is felt when dived underwater only when you actually dive underwater.”

“And even when images speak of space, they change in size. The slightest value extends, heightens, or multiplies”

My mind was clear, my worry evaporated, and I was filled with the kind of gratitude that brings peace.

“One must love space to describe it as minuetely”

“Imagine what solitude the waters must have felt in night , or night’s own solitude in universe without end “

“A slow humility penetrates the room, that dwells in me in the palm of repose”

A zine containing 20 elements where 17 household elements and 3 space elements was made physically. These elements had some story or memory connected with us. Here are few elements with the story behind them along with their plan, section and elevation.

These images shows relationship between the topography i.e High Sea and my oneric feeling. It shows the underground environment of Sea. As i feel variations in movement of waves, reduction in noise and light intensity as i go deep down. So this frame shows the abstract scenario of oneric feeling. I’ve used wool threads to show difference in water movement at surface and at underwater.Light shows reduction in light intensity as we go down.

Imagining a shell which can go with the Topography i.e High sea. This model was build keeping this things in mind. Later, human activities were placed here encorporating with the surrounding and including the elements from the zine.
