The Material Library will be located in GIDC Bhavan, a part of CEPT University. The space is two-storey tall and the entire interior structure is made of wooden frames and metal surfaces. The Material Library aims at spreading knowledge about the materials- Stone, Glass and ceramics. there will be physical sample displays of the same material along with loose catalogue for user experience. The reason behind displaying these 3 materials is to spread the awareness on how these materials are ecological and can be used in interior spaces wisely. Along with this, these materials are sourced from earth and further processed. This process is also highlighted in the activity area. The library encompasses seminar space and workshop area for anyone to physically get their hands on these materials and know more about them. The library will have everything you need to know about these materials under one roof. This encounter will increase material understanding and usage.
