The project is Toolguild a research and development facility, recently set up in Ahmedabad. Tool Guild is derived from tool as the MIC works as a tool for society to solve material related problems and guild is a group of people working together to achieve a goal. Society being the primary user, it is the main driving force of the MIC. The space planning and articulation of elements in the space are analogous to a city plaza which is a vital component of an urbanized society.
