The Twisted Edge - A seating for Zen Cafe, Ahmedabad

The Twisted Edge is a seating designed for Zen cafe in Ahmedabad. The seating was inspired by the work of Frank Gehry and his design philosophy. The fluidity and dynamism of the form represent inference of Frank Gehry’s design philosophy in the chosen context. The concept was to design a seating that breaks the monotonous verticality of the exposed brick structure and harmoniously complements the curves and fluidity of the Gufa yet fulfills its function. The concept was further developed keeping in mind the language of the space and its aesthetics. And the form was achieved using the skills developed through various exercises done in this studio.
