KERFING_X_WEARABLE

This project explores the innovative intersection of fashion, material innovation, and self-expression by utilizing kerfing technology to transform traditionally rigid materials—such as MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) and acrylic—into flexible, fabric-like, modular components. Our goal is to create a wearable material that combines the structure of solid materials with the flexibility and versatility of textiles, offering a new, customizable medium for fashion design. By applying kerfing, we aim to challenge the traditional boundaries of fabric, transforming hard materials into soft, flexible components that can conform to the body. This project not only reimagines the physical properties of materials but also encourages a new narrative of individuality and artistic exploration in fashion design.
