The human body connects with its
surroundings, spaces, volumes
through the senses. Hence,
architecture has always strived to
incorporate such elements as well .
So any structure or the space
connects with your body through
its existence, and creates a
memory within your Brain. That
what makes any structure in to a
monument.
This is a stepwell located in the
village of Adalaj, in Gujarat. It was
built in 1498 in the memory of
Rana Veer Singh, by his wife Rani
Rudadevi.
Adalaj is an excellent example that
has sensorial elements which can
be imprinted in your memory.
While looking at it, one can clearly
visualize the elegance of the
structure .
Music has similarities with
architecture in terms of structuring
it and connecting with your mind.
So the project aims towards
adding one more dimension in
terms of experiencing the structure
with music .
