Kerfature: Explorations In Two Way Kerfing

This project aimed to explore the application of two way kerfing on rigid planar materials to achieve doubly curved forms. These forms were then used to create a module for propagation with the intent of achieving larger global forms. Further on, given the ability of the derived material to flatten itself when free from external forces; it led the project to consider the idea of flatpacking for the ease of logistics. Both, the technique of achieving these forms being minimally labour intensive and the use of cheap material like plywood also makes production fairly economic.
