Frames, Resin-Impregnated fabric

FRAMES: Setting out to understand the differences in sequence of thoughts, decision making and execution between the traditional process and contemporary ones, we engaged in a collaborative craft design process with the wood carving and block making craftsmen under the theme’ Designed and crafted in India: representing the plurality of Contemporary craft and interior architecture practice’.
RESIN-IMPREGNATED FABRIC: This experiment started out as a material based design computation where the aim was to achieve a “doubly curved surface”. It was achieved as the result of the association between geometrical patterns and altered material behavior (of stretchable fabric & resin).
