This Project is an Exploration of interdependent systems having interlocking connections in planar elements and is an assembly based production. For this space a material’s qualities only becomes visible through its breaking down of the structure and ‘materiality’ into fine ‘particles’, like when broken up with emptiness and light, thus creating contemporary hybrid spaces in terms of private - public spaces, mixed internal and external area, Transitional enclosed - open voids, multilayered facade. It explores to reverse the idea that “monuments should be solid” by breaking out the closed concrete shell into a new space that contrast with bold appearance of the existing concrete building.This is achieved in this project by designing transitional spaces inside Premabhai hall’s closed interior spaces, which acts as a buffer zone between two volumes inside the space, or between inside and outside spaces.
