Enlightment through knowledge : I have imagined this space as Library. Library is considered as a resource so it defines a community of reader, explorers, etc. The activity happens in library hours referencing and borrowing. There is a space for readers to have a comfortable sitting for longer hours and as it is a library, my idea for the space is to have an inspiring environment around that makes the reader feel that they are not in closed walls but in nature. The staircase is the medium of circulation which helps readers in finding books. It connects both the activities, borrowing books and connecting space. In the day time, the source of light is natural light. For evening, there are two artificial lights ( filaments).The kind of shape the space has spells both rigidity and a curve. To understand the skeleton of object was thoroughly important in trying to link the structure of object with the functionality of the space. Because of the actual material of the object, it helps one to develop this sensitivity considering environment condition. Hence this exercise is a foundation to recognize different aspects of designing through process. This process is more of an exploring journey.
