The artist residency is located in the heritage city: Ahmedabad. It is located at the epicenter of the city at a point where the old city meets the new urban fabric. The design process for the project was reversed. It started with the individual studio units which were designed according to artists' requirements. They were then put into clusters keeping in mind their functions and common areas needed. The clusters were then stacked to form the final art center with the view and functions in place. The skin was then developed to meet the climate factor.
