Introduction to Ceramics

Over four months in the clay studio, I explored the material through hand building techniques like pinching, coiling, and slab construction. Initial exercises included imitating cardboard in clay, which was detailed and time-intensive. I also worked with stains and underglazes, observing the unpredictability of glaze firing. The studio focused on a hands-on, iterative approach, building understanding through making, testing, and refining.
