Introduction to Ceramics

This is a portfolio of 16 weeks of work in ceramics, specifically stoneware clay and terracotta. Introductory exercises in hand-building - like coiling and slab construction -  are followed by surface decoration with coloured slip and underglaze pigments. The culminating group project involves the design and construction of a ceramic lighting installation that displays metamorphosis through modularity.
