Museum of Afterlives of the Unloved

Every house has a space filled with abandoned objects—objects stored as mementos of our past. These objects that once were an essential part of our lives are now lying under layers of dust and cobwebs, where they are paid little to no attention. These objects, in a way have fulfilled their initial purposes and now spend their lives in dark and dingy attics. But these need not be the end of their stories; these objects can live on very happening afterlives with a little thought and effort. Repairing and preserving these objects is the easiest way to improve their quality of life. But some of these objects can be brought back to life by assigning them new jobs completely different from their original purposes, whereas the others are often transformed into hybrid forms of themselves. This process not only breathes new life into the objects but also provides a unique opportunity for personal expression while honoring the history and memories associated with these objects.
