Our lived experience is often highlighted by objects. They serve as prosthetics for the mind and are interfaces that enable our bodies to interact with the outside environment. The "material culture" in our lives is made up of a combination of useful and inspirational items. The work focuses on investigating how commonplace things serve as extensions and representations of one's own and their culture, creating what historian Jennifer A. Gonzalez referred to as a "Autotopography" or the use of artefacts to map one's "self."
